Today MAY 5 is “International Day of the Midwife” This years theme: “Midwives For A Better Tomorrow.”

ZANA and ChaRA Tupo Pamoja – Together we held the first celebration of midwives for Zanzibar!

Last week ChaRA and ZANA were in Pemba Island celebrating midwives and today we were in Unguja Zanzibar. A HUGE thank you to the ladies of America who attend the Birthing Hope Tea each year to support midwives of Zanzibar. Thanks to the great committee of ZANA – Zanzibar Nurses Association for hosting both celebrations. They did an AMAZING job!
