HELP US BUILD A HOME! $9,000
Meet our Birth Hope Center Staff

Marcelina Joseph (37) will be the manager of the Birth Hope Center in Endoji, Dongobesh. We have known her since 2004. She has a degree from the University of Dar es Salaam. For the past 5 years she has been teaching secondary school, has been the head of her department and matron over all the girls. She has an 8 year old son named Brighton. Dongobesh is her home village. Her Mother and Father are pastors nearby. She can speak English, Swahili and her village language, Iraqw. Marcelina will have great understanding of the girls that become part of the Birth Hope Center. Her greatest desire is that they will know Jesus, know His love for them and follow Him completely. She needs a home and we have room next to the Center to build it. It will provide Brighton a good place to play and grow. Please help us make this home possible.

We have also hired Sophia Anania(22) as our assistant manager. We have known her since she was 6 years old. She has graduated with a certificate in mother and child care and human resources. She speaks English, Swahili and the Iraqw village language. She will live in the Center with the girls. Her room is ready for paint and furniture. She is a compassionate, caring, hard working young lady who loves to pray. Her desire for the Center is to see these girls whole, healthy and filled with the knowledge and Spirit of God.

Both girls are in driving and computer school right now. It’s a big deal for a girl to drive! They will love, teach, and care for the girls that God sends to the Birth Hope Center. It is exciting to see those you have raised up become leaders. We never imagined years ago we would build this Center and work together. Together with you, we will build the Kingdom of God! Soon the Center will be complete and girls will arrive in the Spring. These are exciting times.

Phaustini was working as a laborer at the Center. I told Ron I found a gentle man I thought we should hire, he said he had a hard working man he thought would be good. We both pointed to Phaustini! We found he had been trained in the City as a guard. He also has a guard dog named, Miriam. He is married with 3 children. The Holy Spirit has led us to each of our new staff members in a way we knew it was His choice.

2019 was a year of exciting opportunities, great accomplishments for some of us, difficult decisions for others and is ending in sadness for our family. I want to hold tight to my Mom and my feelings of loss, but as I open my heart and allow Jesus to enter my loss, He fills my heart with the joy of His Salvation. Today my Mom is full of joy, health, wholeness and eternal life. She is with Jesus! We pray for each of you and your families for whatever this season has held for you and for the joy of your Salvation to pour over your families.

With heartfelt thankfulness for you!
Love, Ron & Carol

My Mom passed into heaven on December 12th. We are having her memorial on January 3rd. She was 92. She was one of our biggest supporters in giving, praying and cheering us on.

She was so excited for the Birth Hope Center. Just before leaving Dongobesh last month she took a tour via Skype. Each year she started by giving to CHaRA. She loved the kids of Africa, she loved everyone. Giving made her happy.

Please pray for my Dad, after 74 years of marriage his heart is deeply sorrowful at the loss of the love of his life. One of her requests was that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to CHaRA for the Birth Hope Project.
