CHaRA Mobility Project

Jun 8, 2013 | 0 comments

On the Islands of Zanzibar, there are many children and adults with disabilities. Due to the lack of medical attention they receive, most live with the disability for life without therapy or quality of life. They are often left in the home day after day especially as they grow too heavy to carry. Those with disabilities do not have the capability to support themselves or a family.

There is extreme limit to no access to rehabilitation services. In Zanzibar over 50% of all children live on family incomes of less than $1.00 per day, many are malnourished and most live in poverty.

The CHaRA mobility project for the disabled provides P.E.T. Carts, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers and sometimes surgery to children and some adults to improve their quality of life. These medical devices give them mobility and lifts them off the ground. With your help we can intervene to help children like: Luhende, Rahma, Zahra, Hapsa, Thauriyu, Makame and many more.m

CHaRA has a partnership with P.E.T. Personal Energy Transportation – you can find them on the web. This partnership has given many people in Tanzania that are disabled the ability to move, gomto school and even work on their own. It brings freedom and joy!

Please go to our donation tab to give secure on line gift that will permitnCHaRA to maintain this project for the disabled and give these families hope and confidence for living. It is a great gift to give for a special person in your life.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
