The “5th” Anniversary Birthing Hope Tea was a great success!

I am overwhelmed with joy by the amazing women and girls that gather to give and hear about the wonderful Birthing Hope Project. This year 148 women and 2 men from 5 different States gathered at Hotel Concord to give hope to the midwives, mothers and babies of Zanzibar. 18 midwives in the village of Kiyongwe have been supported to receive training, supplies, and birth kits; 10 new Moms will receive baby care training and 28 babies will receive life-saving care in 2014. Thank you to all our guests for supporting Birthing Hope in Zanzibar.

Thank you to our board of directors, family and friends that worked tirelessly to prepare and set up a beautiful tea room for our guests. Thank you to our sponsors of North Carolina who help us finance the tea, so that all giving goes to this project: Tim Furr of Corban Homes, Coolidge Heating and Air, The Refuge, Heart Gifts by Teresa, Carolina Floor Care, Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant, SPORTSCENTER Athletic Club, DATADOC Imaging Services, Mary Kay Consultant-Brenda Shuman, Chick-fil-A, Pots of Luck Florist, Jim ‘N’ Nicks BBQ, Stephanie Petrunich, Shelby Payne, Colleen Broome, Dr. Lori Smith, Roland & Angela Mitchell, Tambra Cochran, Penny Vaughan, Sandra Mullis, Wings III Design, and artist Marcello Aquino.

We are blessed by God with wonderful people who make CHaRA a great giving-life-saving ministry.
