You are invited to attend the Birthing Hope Tea! The purpose of the tea is to raise funds for Birthing Hope Zanzibar, caring for mothers, babies and education and supplies for midwives in Tanzania. March 1, 2017 at The Refuge in Kannapolis, NC USA from 1:30-4:00 PM.

At the education seminar in August 2016 we established with the head masters a CHaRA Best School Award. As our team went to schools to teach hygiene and give shoes they kept a record of where they found students wearing shoes, the grounds and classrooms being kept clean and clean water was available for students. At the end of 2016 they voted for the school they felt most deserving of this award.

This week we were honored to give that award to Kidagoni School located in a very rural area of the North A District. The school received a CHaRA Best School plaque and $500 US to be used for the school. Each year schools receive half that amount to run their schools. All the young children received CHaRA pencils. The school received sports balls and jump ropes.

The school also awarded CHaRA with their thanksgiving and baskets! It was a great day for all of us.
